New York City based soul rock n’ roll group, Kwame Binea Shakedown are hitting the road for their first US tour in support of their debut self-titled album.

Kwame Binea Shakedown have been gaining momentum for their infectious energy and original style of “roots rock” – a fusion of rhythmic rock, folk, funk and soul. The group has developed a legion of loyal fans from their regular performances at celebrated New York venues like Mercury Lounge, Joe’s Pub, Brooklyn Bowl, and Rockwoood Music Hall. They have also performed at regional festivals like CMJ, Maplewoodstock, Hollystock Festival, and WPA Festival, and have shared the stage with The Wailers and Nile Rodgers.

“My music is organic,” says Kwame, “it’s about life, love and struggle, but it’s danceable. We make music that moves you and that makes you move.”
